Towed to dearler, which said valves needed replacing. Negotiated sale of car to dealer. Will never buy another Chrysler. Tailpipe exhaust cleaner than city air and way cleaner than average car. Smell continues after uphill pulls. Technician claimed loose hose clamp. Determined radiator was defective.

    Will return to shop in mid-August. Replaced oil pan gasket. Have acquired a reman engine. Shop had to tear down and rebuild on a second replacement engine. Intake manifold had to be replaced for unspecified reasons. Car runs but is still not right. Crack in plumbing got welded by third-party muffler shop. Valve cover gaskets replaced. Front timing cover gasket replaced. Replaced front TPS and issue cleared.

    Had a local mechanic replace with an OEM part. Shop installed a value muffler but it was too loud, had them order and install an OEM muffler. Replaced rad and flushed trans 36 quarts! Crappy Chinese quality probably Artex. Now installed a Carter pump, which runs silently equal the original pump. Artex pump made a lot of noise from the beginning, stay away from this brand.

    I replaced the throttle position sensor and repaired the problem. Had to have rear main seals changed and oil pan changed due to rust. Also had leaky transmission oil pan, had to have the gasket replaced. Replaced radiator, upper and lower hoses, thermostate, radiator cap and belt. See TrueDelta's information for all Jeep models. The Jeep has been taken off the road for complete rebuild of the engine and drive train. An exhaust manifold bolt snapped off at the head.

    Slow leak at bottom of timing chain cover, gasket replaced. Driver's side exhaust manifold leak. Blown head gasket which caused 4 fouled plugsand injectors. Thermostat stuck closed, Jeep running hot. Suddenly developed loud valve clatter on cold start. First time California state-mandated smog test. Failed Throttle Position Sensor caused unpredictable surging and erratic idle.

    Car smelled like oil was burning off hot manifold. Strong smell of antifreeze and signs of dampness on engine room insulation and front of radiator. Coolant all over front of engineroom, waterpump area dry. Isolated previous oil leak to oil pan gasket. Oil sump full, dipstick reads to the full mark, metal grindings in oil, engine runs on two or three cylinders, makes hellaciously bad noises.
