Well organised tour of factory production line and museum At 10euro this is a nice little visit for any biker or petrol head. We had booked well in advance and had received confirmation by email some time before our visit. The whole experience was brilliant. Very friendly host who spoke great English and interacted very well with our group.

Fascinating museum detailing the history of Ducati right up to today's race bikes. The factory tour was brilliant too, fascinating to see the bikes being built not too busy though as our tour was towards the end of the day. A bargain compared to Lamborghini tour and much more to see. Got to fulfil a bit of a personal wish list and visit the Ducati factory and museum. I had booked through the website 2 days in advance and received no confirmation time in a return email.

We arrived onsite at the appointed time. My wife, 2 teenage daughters and 11 year old son. We got to go through the factory and was brilliant to see how and where the dream machines are assembled Very helpful and knowledgeable tour guide. Would really recommend this tour to any bike fans out there. Even though we had reservations to attend the tour, the lady on the gate felt compelled to question who we were and inferred that if we did not actually own a Ducati, we could not enter, after 10 mins she finally agreed we could buy the tickets we reserved.

We then had to wait outside the factory in 40'C heat for 20 mins untill the tour started, no seating of shade avaliable. We then moved onto the factory where we spent most of our time being told to hurry up and not lag behind, we were not shown any of the components being made or ground, as it transpires Ducati buy in nearly all of the component parts from outside sources, the factory mearly assembles these parts, there is no technical information available, the " highlight" of the tour is watching a newly built bike being started and run on the rolling road for the first time.

Looking back I was the lady on the gate had simply turned us away and saved us wasting half a day. As a side note, there is no food or drink available on site at Ducati, not even a coffee shop, and the souvenir shop is the size of a council house kitchen.

Not what was expected from a billion dollar company. We decided to book this visit while in Bologna - 10 euros each on the gate but have to pre-book your slot. I sent a request weeks before and didn't hear anything so sent an e-mail and eventually got a tour time confirmed.

Interesting to watch the bikes being hand built in the factory and the museum was also interesting! We were on a 3. Own or manage this property? Claim your listing for free to respond to reviews, update your profile and much more.
