Then again my thoughts on vehicles differ than most people as my wife tells me. Last edited by eaton53; at Actually the ability to use B20 has nothing to do with perception, nor do horsepower or mileage. They are something that can be measured. The 2nd closest station to me that has a diesel pump is B20, so that capability comes into play. I have driven a new Jetta TDI wagon.

I liked it too. Many people like a car with torque that has zip off the line without having to thrash it. I like electric cars for the same reason. Originally Posted by Drago I am looking at a Cruze that normally gets 36 mpg highway miles , the same car with a diesel engine gets 45 mpg.

Do diesel prices generally remain in the same range as unleaded? Do diesel engines generally last longer? Just debating whether a car with this engine is worth it.

I far preferred the power delivery from my 3. It probably had more torque, was smoother and was far more economical. You have to compare actual gas mileage you'd get with your driving.

Not the highway miles number, unless all you do is road trips. If you have a commute in traffic, assume the city mpg number is what you'll get. The lower the mpg numbers you are comparing, the more different in cost each mpg makes. Please register to post and access all features of our very popular forum. It is free and quick.
